On May 8 2016, the reigning Australian Champion Mitch Wayt #16, rode a master-class race day to win the 2016 Queensland State Titles in Pro-Am Stock-Class Closed Circuit against some of Australia’s best riders.
Some fast, big-name competition such as Brendan Boyd and Guy Greenland joined the 65 strong entrants for the 2016 State Titles held at Redcliffe, Queensland.
#16 Wayt took to the water on his 2016 FZR SVHO in the Stock Runabout Closed-Circuit class. #16 Wayt rode three flag-to-flag races. With blistering holeshot starts and fast laps, #16 Wayt was able to hold off the quick competition of the Sea-Doo RXPX-300 and fellow Yamaha FZR Racer Guy Greenland, to claim the title.
